Registered Safety Officer (RSO) course

The Registered Safety Officer (RSO) is knowledgeable of the fundamentals of occupational Health and Safety. The RSO is generally responsible for the day-to-day activities of managing a company’s health and safety program (this is an entry-level certification).

Course Examination: Written exam required
Certification: RSO certificate and wallet card by the International Board of Environmental Health & Safety (IBOEHS), USA. Candidates who pass exams are entitled to use the designation "RSO" after their names in emails and business cards
Eligibility: At least 2 years’ experience at work and 60 % of time for safety duties at work
Language requirement: Whilst there is no pre-requisite for this course, IELTS 4-5 is recommended to ensure quality comprehension of the subject matter.
Duration: 5 days including exam
